A support worker app with nothing to install

Support workers open it in the browser on the phone they already have. Their roster, shift notes, tasks, km, expenses and incident reports are in one place, with big buttons for when one hand is busy.

Clock in with GPS

The worker's location is recorded when they clock in and out. If they're further from the shift address than your set distance, the clock-in shows how far away they were and is flagged for the office to review.

Being out of range never stops a worker clocking in, so a poor GPS signal can't leave them stuck at the door.

Shift notes that save without signal

Notes save automatically as the worker types. With no signal, they're saved on the phone in encrypted form and sent when the phone is back online.

Clocking in and out, submitting the timesheet and uploading expense receipts need a connection.

Tasks, km and expenses on the shift

  • TasksEach task is answered yes or no, with a reason when it wasn't completed.
  • KilometresStart and end odometer readings, checked against the km authorised for the shift.
  • ExpensesAmount, reason and the receipt attached.

Everything the worker enters feeds the timesheet the office approves, and from there the invoice.

Incident reports from the shift

Workers report an incident from the shift itself: the type (behaviour, injury, self harm, medication, vehicle or other), how serious it is, what happened, photos or documents, and any injury marked on a body map.

For a high or critical incident, the app tells the worker to phone the office before finishing the report.

Open shifts on the Job Board

Shifts without a worker appear on the Job Board. Workers apply for the ones they can take and the office confirms. The board warns a worker when they're already rostered that day.

Questions about the worker app

Do support workers need to download an app?

No. It works in any phone browser, so workers sign in on the phone they already carry.

What happens when there's no signal?

Shift notes save on the phone and send when it's back online. Clocking in and out needs a connection.

Does GPS stop a worker clocking in?

No. An out-of-range clock-in is flagged for the office to review, and the worker can still clock in.

Can workers pick up extra shifts?

Yes. Open shifts are listed on the Job Board, where workers apply and the office confirms.
