Accessibility
We work with people with disability every day, so this website should work for everyone who uses it. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we've built in
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, in a sensible order, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
- Text meets the WCAG AA contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1.
- Pages fit a 320-pixel-wide screen and text can be enlarged to 200% without scrolling sideways.
- Headings, landmarks and table headers are marked up so screen readers can move around each page.
- If you've asked your device to reduce motion, the site doesn't animate.
- Nothing plays automatically, flashes or times out.
- The language is set to Australian English, so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
How we test it
On 27 October 2026 every page was checked with the axe accessibility checker against WCAG 2.2 AA, by keyboard, at 320 pixels wide and at 200% text size. We fixed what we found. We check again whenever pages change.
Known limitations
- Example screens. The pictures of the app on this site are examples, made to look like the app. Screen readers hear a written description of each one rather than every label on it.
- Testing with assistive technology users. We haven't yet tested the site with people who use screen readers, switch access or voice control every day. If you do and you'd be willing to help, we'd love to hear from you.
